Ding, dong, Osama's dead! They shot that bastard in the head! Ding, dong the wicked man is dead!!!
Okay, so this isn't exactly "entertainment news", but the joy this story brings to the world makes it impossible to ignore here. In case you haven't already heard - it is indeed time to do the dance of joy, because yesterday U.S. forces KILLED Osama Bin Laden, the mastermind behind the 9/11 slaughter of 3,000 innocent Americans. Yup, nearly 10 years after that dreadful day, President Barack Obama took to TV last night to announce that U.S. intelligence had located Osama at a mansion in Abbottabad, 50 miles north of the Pakistan capital city of Islamabad, and that he'd authorized a military team to take care of business:
"Today, at my direction, the United States launched a targeted operation against that compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan," Obama said. "A small team of Americans carried out the operation with extraordinary courage and capability. No Americans were harmed. They took care to avoid civilian casualties. After a firefight, they killed Osama bin Laden and took custody of his body."
A senior congressional source confirmed that Osama was shot in the head and that his body was later buried at sea.
