DIY: How to make the deaky do

We all know this haircut, called the deaky do. I know it's far away from stylish nowadays, but I am sure most Queenfans still like it (including me)!

I am not a hairdresser or something, if you think one of the tips is not good for your hair or something, just don't do it! Do it your own way then...

So, let's start making the deaky do!

1. Curl your hair. (you're lucky if it's already curly) It's handy, but not necessary to keep your hair a little wet.

2. Comb your hair as much as you can. But let it stay curly.

3. Take some hair mousse and apply it only at the schedule

4. Bend your back (forwards haha) so your hair is hanging, then dry your hair.

That's all. It sounds easy but I think you have to take some tries before it looks great.

By the way, this is the perfect way to curl your hair for step 1. But don't use the styling products she uses!

John's favourite recipe: CHEESE ON TOAST!!!!!

You need

2 slices rustic bread
butter
cheese







Preheat oven to 250C (480F).

Generously butter bread and place on a baking tray lined with foil or baking paper.

Bake for 3 minutes or until butter is melted.

Top with slices of cheese to completely cover the bread.

Bake for another 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbling with golden brown patches.

Done!



If you want it totally John Deacon style, drink a cup of tea with it!

21 magic years

Queen timeline

1970
Freddie Mercury (Vocals), Roger Taylor (Drums), Brian May (Guitar) and Mike Grose (bass) form Queen. Grose is replaced after just one gig. His replacement, Doug also lasts only one concert, Barry Mitchell is drafted in but the band are still not happy with the line-up.

1971
John Deacon is recruited as bassist, Their debut is at the College of Estate Management, London. Queen is still not a full time occupation for the band members - Freddie runs a clothes stall in Kensington Market, John teaches, Brian is working on a doctorate and Roger is reading for a biology degree.

1972
The band sign a management, record and publishing deal with Trident Audio Productions. They start work on their debut LP, eventually signing to EMI. Freddie designs the band's crest.

Queen for dummies

Basic information, and answers to questions every friend of a queen-fan did not dare to ask, because of big change to explosion/unstoppable laugh/ weird looking face. If your Queen-fan friend send you the link of this blog, don't worry, now you can understand where he/she's talkins about!

Who is Queen?

Queen is a British band, formed in the late 60's. They were famous in the 70''s, 80''s and early 90''s. In 1991 lead singer Freddie Mercury died of AIDS, after that, Queen did never become that famous anymore. ''No Freddie, no Queen''.

 The members are:

* Freddie Mercury, lead singer

*Brian May, lead guitarist

*John Deacon, basguitarist

*Roger Taylor, drummer

Okay, so you know who te members are. Now you understand your Queen-fan-friend if he/she's talking about the great guitar solo of Brian May, and John Deacon's perfect basslines.

When I tag ''Queen'' on Google, I even see other people! I only recognize that guy with the long curly hair! Did they change members?

Queen's music was in charts for 20 years, in that 20 years, they changed looks a lot. But they never changed members. So maybe you don't recognize them, it are really the same people. I will show you the 3 basic looks of them.

Why did Freddie Mercury had a moustash like most South-American guys?

Actually, that moustash that's typically for a stereotype South-American man, was inspired by Freddie! I am not kidding! Queen was really famous in South-America [they were the first band having a tour at South-America]. Queen was (and still is) very popular there!

Is Queen gay?

That's the  question I have heard the most.Queen is not gay, and has never been gay. [BTW there's nothing wrong with being gay!] Freddie Mercury was bisexual, but the other members were not gay.
