Freddie & his stamps

Freddie Mercury, a rock star, flamboyant, powerful, a cat lover and a collecter of stamps. Stamps? wtf  A  rock star collecting stamps? Yes, it's true. He had started collecting at the age of nine, and he finished it at the age of 12 .He saved to buy packets of stamps and when he was satisfied with the colour and design of particular stamps he added them to his symmetrical designs. His love for stamps was sparked by his father, who had also a  collection of stamps

In 1963, the family Bulsara moved to England. Freddie started to studie graphic illustration at the Earling College of Art. At this point Bomi, decided to keep the stamp album as he was sure that Farrokh would either sell it or lose it once he went to college. [Thank you!!!!!!]

The blue-covered book counts 54 pages and includes stamps from Monaco, Hungary, Zanzibar, Australia, Aden, New Zealand and Great Britain.

You can still find his collection book, you have most chance to find it in England, but it's traveling all over the world. They are shown with his real name on it.

.In 1999, England released some stamps with Freddie on it! As soon as it came out, conservative voices started to cry.  Their argument was that a person who is not a member of the Royal household must be dead for 10 years before they can be on a stamp.  And with a magnifying glass, one might be just able to make out Roger Taylor on drums.  However, it was counter-argued that on stamps showing the Queen and her horses, other riders can sometimes be seen and they aren't dead yet, either.  So ... since Her Majesty has approved the stamp, it stands

Haha, I like this stamp.
